Residents of the home in the 800 block of 17th called in a burglary report at 2:42 a.m. Wednesday after they went to investigate loud noises inside the home and happened upon the suspects, startling them,
At 5:37 a.m., residents of a home in the 1700 block of Columbine called police to report a burglary. They told police that a male suspect, later identified as Bowden, had entered the home and told them he needed a place to hide from police.
Bowden and Rast were both apprehended in the area.
Police linked them to two additional burglaries after finding stolen items, including clothing and computer accessories, that they left behind at the homes.
Boulder police are continuing their investigation.
