Officials for Fate Brewing Co., one of at least five Boulder craft breweries in the planning stages, today announced plans to open a full-service restaurant and full-production brewery in the late fall.
Fate Brewing is expected to open at 1600 38th St. in a 7,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by Playa Azul and Jose Muldoon's.
Mike Lawinski, who has worked for Big Red F Restaurant Group for 10 years, founded Fate Brewing, which is expected to operate a full-service restaurant in addition to being a full-production brewery.
Fate Brewing intends to distribute its beer to liquor stores, restaurants and bars throughout Colorado in addition to providing beer at its restaurant.
Fate Brewing has plans to produce five core beers in addition to “numerous special releases.” The restaurant, which will have 30 tap lines, also is expected to serve other craft beers.
Lawinski could not be immediately reached for comment.
