Michael Sipili at a CU scrimmage in August. Cliff Grassmick ( CLIFF GRASSMICK )
University of Colorado linebacker Michael Sipili is due in court Tuesday on charges that he drove without a license and with expired license plates in August.

Sipili, 21, who was convicted in 2007 of assaulting CU student John Antrim and sentenced to two years probation, was charged with the traffic violation in August. He's scheduled for a pre-trial conference in that case Tuesday.

Antrim filed a lawsuit against Sipili for the 2007 assault, and that civil case also is moving through the courts. The case is scheduled for a hearing Wednesday, and it's set for trial June 6.
