An 18-year-old University of Colorado student told police he was jumped by three men and then headbutted in the face as he walked home through University Hill early Saturday.

The alleged assault took place in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Street around 1:45 a.m.

The victim, whom police did not identify said he lost consciousness for a period of time and a friend drove him to the hospital. He was treated for minor injuries and released.

The incident remains under investigation.
