The wait's is over: The lineup for the University of Colorado's annual WelcomeFest was revealed Thursday, and it looks like this is going to be another great concert.
This year's concert takes place Aug. 21 on CU's Farrand Field and will be headlined by MTV buzz band Chiddy Bang. The alternative hip-hop duo mashes up rap and pop samples into its mix to create the ultimate dance party.
The concert also will host sets by the electro-jam band Pnuma Trio, rapper XV and local band Air Dubai.
Every year, CU's Program Council hosts a free welcome concert for new and returning students. The event's become known for breaking acts before they hit nationally, and past years shows have featured sets by 3OH!3, Pretty Lights, Girl Talk and Asher Roth.
WelcomeFest is only open to CU students with a valid Buff OneCards.
More information will be available at programcouncil.com next week.
