A Regional Transportation District bus was rear-ended at the intersection of 28th Street and Arapahoe Avenue on Thursday afternoon, according to dispatchers.

The accident was called in at about 2:15 p.m. after a Jump bus was rear-ended as it was stopped for a red light at 28th Street while headed west on Arapahoe Avenue.

Dispatchers said an ambulance was sent to the scene for the driver of the car, but he was not transported to the hospital. No one on the bus was injured.

A witness who called the Camera said there were about six people on the bus at the time and described the car as a red compact.

No information on the cause of the accident has been released.
