Clean Energy Action has announced it is hosting a presentation Thursday evening in Boulder at which its assistant research director, Zane Selvans, will discuss "the ins and outs" of implementing a fee on carbon in Colorado.

Among the questions Selvans will address are, what a carbon fee for the state might look like, what might be the potential benefits to the state, and whether it would be possible for the revenue to be used to offset greenhouse gases.

The session is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, 1820 15th St.. Refreshments will be offered at 6:30 p.m.

In addition to his role at Clean Energy Action, Selvans serves on the advocacy committee of the non-profit Community Cycles, as well as Boulder's Transportation Advisory Board and the Greenways Advisory Committee.

Zelvans joined Clean Energy Action as the assistant research director in the fall of 2012. His focus at CEA so far has been on energy finance and regulatory issues.
