Temperatures in Boulder are not expected to rise above single digits, meaning the six inches of snow that fell on Boulder Wednesday will stay on the ground for awhile, according to the National Weather Service.

Today's forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high of 6 and wind chill values as low as -12. The lowest high temperature previously recorded on Dec. 5 was 7, recorded in 1972. The overnight low is expected to be near -7, with winds chill as low as -15 and a 20 percent chance of snow. The previous low of Dec. 5 is -12.

Friday's forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high of 12 and wind chill as low as -15. The overnight low is expected to be near -2 with wind chill as low as -10.

Saturday's forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high of 18 and a 20 percent chance of snow. The overnight low is expected to be near 1, with a 40 percent chance of snow.
