Manchester United will play A.S. Roma at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on July 26 as part of the Guinness International Champions Cup, a preseason U.S. exhibition tour for high-profile international soccer teams.
The Fox-televised game in Denver will begin at 2 p.m. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and at the Sports Authority Field box office.
"We are thrilled to host Manchester United and A.S. Roma — two of the world's top soccer clubs," Andy Gorchocv, the general manager of Stadium Management Co., said in a news release. "We are excited and honored to welcome both the teams and their great fans to Denver."
Meanwhile, the world No. 1-ranked U.S. women's national team will play No. 19 China on April 6 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City.
The friendly will be the Americans' 51st match against China. Team USA has played only Canada more often. The Americans are 30-8-12 against China all time and are off to a 3-0-0 start this season.
The U.S. women's national team played at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in 2008 against Brazil and in 2012 against Australia.
