BOULDER, Colo. -

The University of Colorado club freestyle ski team has had to cancel the competition it was hosting this coming weekend.

The freestyle ski team -- which took home the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association's team national championship last year -- was set to host a USCSA regional qualifier at Steamboat starting Thursday.

However, according to club president Mike Blea, the team found out over the weekend that it would have to cancel the event due to problems with insurance.

Blea said the team will move forward, and anticipates competing at the USCSA Nationals, which begin at Winter Park on March 3.
