Fall break.

The time has come to go home, sleep until 2 p.m. and stuff your face with delicious grub.

In between these fruitful activities, take some time to be thankful.

Yes, a fake ID, PBR and a nice rack can be on the list, but remember what really matters the most to you over the holidays: mom and dad's credit card.

At least try to help out around the house while home -- they've become accustomed to not having your lazy ass slugging around.

While sitting at the dining room table Thanksgiving day staring at warted gourds and a bird the size of your dog, keep these five things in mind.

1 Parents' money

Spend some well-deserved quality time with mom and dad's checkbook next week. It's time to get those winter boots you've been eyeing all semester. You've worked hard and deserve a treat, right? Plus, there will be good deals on Black Friday. Good luck surviving that catastrophe.

2 Pajamas

If you're lucky, they won't leave your skin all week. However, might I suggest removing them for an occasional shower? Fingers crossed mom and dad have a special Thanksgiving present for you to wear on top of the weeklong uniform -- a Snuggie!

3 Mom's home cooking

Thank your dear mother every day for preparing delectable food that's not only free, but more importantly, not dorm food. Although Ramen as carbs, Little Smokies as protein and Skittles as fruit have become a tasty acquired habit, get some real nutrients in your system next week.

4 Your fancy phone

Since the parents are still on a dial-up modem and have a land line, give praise to your iPhone, Droid, Google phone or whatever that fancy thing in your pocket is that doubles as your life. If you don't have one of those, keep mom and dad's credit card in those new jeans. You spoiled brat.

5 Life in Boulder

After a slew of twin beds, couch sleepers and blow-up mattresses, that dorm room doesn't seem so dreadful anymore. Although living under mom and dad's roof (and rules) for a week was interesting (to say the least), you'll be thankful for the return of school.
