Discounted tickets went on sale today for University of Colorado students to see Emmy winning comedian Eddie Izzard at Macky Auditorium on Oct. 13.

There are a limited number of the discounted, student-only tickets priced at $30. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Saturday for $35. Tickets are available at macky.colorado.edu.

The celebrated comedian will preform his stand-up routine at the campus auditorium before his 2012-2013 world tour, "Force Majeure." The show is sponsored by Boulder's Amplitude Entertainment and CU's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Resource Center and Gay-Straight Alliance.

The English comedian, actor and writer visited Denver's Paramount Theatre in 2008.
