The Boulder County Coroner's Office has identified the man who fell 250 feet in Eldorado Canyon State Park last week as Stephen Louthan, 41, of Loveland.

Louthan was found on Nov. 2 at around 5:25 p.m. after rescuers were called to 9 Kneale Road where his body was found in the roadway. It appears Louthan -- who was pronounced dead at the scene -- fell from the top of the Bastille rock formation in Eldorado Canyon State Park, a spot popular with climbers according to officials.

Officials with the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said the fall appeared to be an accident and there was no evidence of foul play. Louthan did not have climbing gear on his body when he was found.

Boulder County Coroner Emma Hall conducted an autopsy and will conduct an investigation to determine the official cause and manner of death.
