Boulder police are looking for a suspect who attacked a man with a pair of scissors late Saturday night on Spruce Street, according to officials.
According to a release, an 18-year-old man walking with his female friend told officers they were walking near 13th and Spruce Streets at 10:21 p.m. Saturday when he was suddenly attacked by the suspect. The victim said the suspect lunged at him with a pair of scissors and held them to his neck.
The victim told police he was able to grab the scissors and the suspect ran away. The male suffered cuts and abrasions and was treated and released at a local hospital.
The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s, between 5-feet-7 and 5-feet-10-inches tall with a stocky build. He had brownish-blonde hair with a receding hairline and a "sunken" face and was wearing a green T-shirt. The victim told police the suspect may have been a transient.
