A trailer on Valmont Road in Boulder County was destroyed by a fire late Monday morning along with a truck, according to officials.

Boulder County sheriff's spokeswoman Heidi Prentup said crews were called at 11:40 a.m. Monday to a trailer on fire at 5505 Valmont Road.

An electrician working on the trailer reportedly smelled smoke and left to find the owner, who was at a nearby trailer. When they returned, they found smoke and flames in a back bedroom and evacuated the trailer before calling for help, Prentup said.

It took several hours for crews to extinguish the fire, and a truck parked in the driveway also was destroyed. Two neighboring trailers had some damage due to the heat from the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Boulder Rural Fire Rescue, Rocky Mountain Fire, Mountain View Fire Rescue, Boulder Fire Department, Boulder Emergency Squad and AMR responded to the scene along with the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.
