When floods devastated our community in September, photojournalists and reporters from the Daily Camera, Longmont Times-Call and Loveland Reporter-Herald were first on the scene, sending in dispatches, photos and videos that were broadcast around the world.

Who can forget the images: neighbors waking neighbors in the dark of night to evacuate, dramatic rescues, heart-wrenching destruction, emotional reunions, residents banding together to help each other dig out the muck, amazing efforts to rebuild.

Behind every photo is a story.

For the first time, photojournalists, reporters and editors from the Daily Camera, Longmont Times-Call and Loveland Reporter-Herald will host a public presentation, sharing images and personal stories about coverage of the historic September 2013 floods.

The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

The events will be held 1 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 11 and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut St., Boulder.

Admission is a $10 donation to benefit the Foothills Flood Relief Fund.

Registration is required; tickets will not be available at the door.
