As part of Airport Day on Saturday at the Boulder Municipal Airport, the community is invited to honor the military crews who evacuated more than 1,200 people during the September floods.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, the military helicopters and ground support vehicles that were used during the flood rescue operation will be on public display. At noon, officials will present awards to the leadership of the Colorado National Guard and U.S. Army 4th Combat Aviation Brigade.

The event also features World War II planes, antique planes, aerobatic planes, gliders and kids' activities.
