All completed ballots, for the American Constitution, Democratic and Republican parties' primaries as well as the city of Longmont's special storm drainage bonds election, have to be in the possession of the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder's Office by 7 p.m. today in order to be counted.
Jane Culkin, a spokeswoman for the county clerk's office, said that as of late Tuesday morning, election workers in the field were reporting that visits to the ballot drop-off locations and the county's voter service and processing centers had been increasing.
The Boulder County Clerk's Office reported that as of Monday night, it had gotten completed ballots back from about 27 percent of the voters given ballots for this year's primaries and the Longmont special election.
Boulder County had distributed 134,419 ballots by that point and had gotten 35,776 of them back.
The Colorado Secretary of State's Office's statewide report said that 517,211 ballots had been returned to Colorado's county clerks as of Monday night.
