Boulder is offering a way for gift givers to help save the environment this holiday season by using recycled materials to wrap their presents.

The city will hold "eco-elf" gift wrapping sessions from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 12 at the East Boulder Senior Center, 5660 Sioux Drive, and noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Boulder Public Library, 1001 Arapahoe Ave.

At the event, residents can have their items wrapped in recycled maps and blueprints. They can also get recycled maps and blueprints to take home if they want to do the wrapping themselves.
