Police are still searching for the suspect in an armed bank robbery in downtown Boulder on Wednesday, and now also are looking for a SUV that may have have been involved.
The robber, described as a white man in his mid-to-late 20s with a slim build and bleached yellow hair, walked into the Wells Fargo branch at 1420 Canyon Blvd. shortly after noon on Wednesday with a gun tucked into his waistband and demanded money from a teller. At the time, he was wearing glasses and all-black clothing.
Boulder police spokeswoman Shannon Aulabaugh said police now believe the suspect ran east from the bank to 15th Street near Liquor Mart and tossed the bank bags into a waiting white SUV before getting on a stashed bicycle. Both the bicycle and the SUV then headed south on 15th Street, Aulabaugh said.
Police are not sure of the SUV's make or model.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Kurt Foster at 303-441-4329.
