Fire crews have re-opened the University of Colorado's Muenzinger Auditorium and the surrounding biosciences buildings after they were evacuated earlier today due to smoke.

The initial call at 10:30 a.m. was for smoke on the third floor of Porter Biosciences, according to officials, but Muenzinger and the Gold Bioscience building were evacuated.

All three buildings are near the corner of 18th Street and Colorado Avenue on CU's Boulder campus.

Officials said there have been no injuries.

All classes in the buildings are canceled for the day, but the buildings have been re-opened with the exception of the third floor of Porter. No other campus buildings have been affected.

The Boulder County hazardous materials team and fire crews are on scene investigating the source of the smoke, but said there was no hazardous materials found on scene.

A preliminary investigation found the issue may have been an electrical malfunction in a refrigerator, according to CU.
