Boulder Republican Steve Bosley will keep his seat on the University of Colorado's Board of Regents, after winning 51 percent of the statewide vote, according to preliminary totals Wednesday.
With 95 percent of votes counted as of 4 p.m., Bosley had 787,597 votes to Democrat Melissa Hart's 668,921. He was winning by a margin of nearly 8 percentage points.
In the two other regent races that were up for election Tuesday, incumbent Democrat Michael Carrigan was re-elected in Congressional District 1 and Republican Sue Sharkey won the seat to represent Congressional District 4. Sharkey will replace term-limited Regent Tom Lucero, R-Berthoud.
