Colorado sophomore defensive tackle Justin Solis has taken over the starting role from senior Nate Bonsu the past two games and forms a formidable tandem with fellow sophomore Josh Tupou in the heart of the Buffs' defense.

The two young tackles combined weigh 605 pounds and are beginning to form some chemistry the more they play together.

Solis, who made his first start against Stanford in 2012 as a true freshman, has made six total tackles the past two weeks with a sack and a third-down stop. Tupou has made seven total tackles with two quarterback hurries and a third-down stop.

Notable

Wide receiver Paul Richardson is still considered questionable for Saturday's game because of a sprained ankle even though he has used his Twitter account to tell CU fans he is out of his walking boot and plans to play against the Bruins. It will be Richardson's first opportunity to play in his home town of Los Angeles at the college level. He redshirted last season when the Buffs played at USC.
