Full Story High quality, low on the food chain at LeafFood can be extraordinarily political, and Boulder is well known for healthy residents who strive to eat organic, locally produced, low-impact foods. Leaf helps that effort without smugness or a superiority complex. Leaf could grandstand on the philosophy of the "Omnivore's Dilemma" while patting itself on the back for its success. Another menu standout is the "Smallest Dessert in Town," which gives you a small brownie and ice cream for just 99 cents. Full Story The Hit List: Red, white and blue (not blow) it upCelebrate Independence Day right this year by hosting a barbecue (or crashing one). There's nothing more all-American than a backyard shindig. Throw in some cheesy clothing, booze and fireworks and you're either in for a blast, or, uh, a blast. Full Story Eat Out: July 2There are few restaurants in Boulder that achieve the consistent symphony of flavor, authenticity and overall experience as expertly as Amu. Full Story Restaurant review: Boulder's Rib HouseAbout five years ago, a friend got married outside of Austin, Tex. and served the guests barbecue: messy ribs, potato salad, corn bread, the works. It was a quirky, yet memorable, choice. And it was recently on my mind as I sauntered into the Rib House, Boulder's iteration of the iconic Longmont barbecue joint. Full Story | | |
