The Boulder County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 47-year-old male found in Sunshine Canyon Sunday, the third unattended death in the Boulder area since Friday.

Officials responded to the 2500 block of Sunshine Canyon Drive at 11:45 a.m. Sunday after two rangers from Boulder Mountain parks had been checking the area and found the body, according to a news release.

There were no signs of foul play, and the death is not considered suspicious. The man's identity has not yet been released by the Boulder County Coroner's Office.

The body is the third found since Friday. Thomas Meyer, a 48-year-old transient was found in Boulder Creek Friday morning and 38-year-old Quake Jason Cox was found later that evening on Viewpoint Trail near Eben G. Fine Park. Neither death was considered suspicious.
