A Longmont-area man is asking for help finding his wife, who reportedly left the family's home on foot on Saturday evening has has not returned.
Austin Shackleford said his 31-year-old wife, Jessica Lynn Shackleford, left the house on the 12900 block of Hillcrest Drive on foot at about 8 p.m. after the argument. He was in the bathroom when she left, but his son saw her leave the house.
She left her cell phone behind, has missed two days of work, and has never done anything like this before, he said.
"I love her and I want her to know she should come home," Austin Shackleford said. "This is not typical of my wife."
He figured she walked away to cool off, and he called law enforcement on Sunday morning when she had not turned up. Now, he said, he is scared that something happened to her.
According to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, she was last seen at a business on the 2200 block of Main Street about 8:40 p.m. Saturday.
"It is unusual for Jessica to be out of contact with her family for this length of time," Boulder County Sheriff's Cmdr. Heidi Prentup wrote in a prepared statement.
Shackleford is described as 5-foot, 8-inches tall, 130 pounds with black hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants with Sketcher brand shoes and possible a grey beanie cap with a horizontal white stripe.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Boulder County Sheriff's Office at 303-441-4444.
