As part of Boulder's effort to revitalize University Hill, two or three parking spaces outside Innisfree Poetry Bookstore & Cafe will be transformed into a landscaped installation complete with recycled materials, the city announced Tuesday.

The parking spaces will be repurposed into a project called "Opportunity Knocks," the winning entry in the city's University Hill Parklet competition.

The seven-member team behind the winning proposal beat out three other semifinalists, and will be awarded $5,000 for design, construction and installation.

"The installation will include recycled windowed doors, benches and landscaping to be used and enjoyed by people living, working and visiting our community," according to a city news release.

"Opportunity Knocks" will serve as a pilot for the city, which has said it will look to the project for information of future installations and parklet plans.
