A 19-year-old man was injured after falling this afternoon while climbing in the “Castle Rock” area in Boulder Canyon.
He was rescued and flown by helicopter to St. Anthony's Hospital.
The call came in at about 1:20 p.m. today. Witnesses estimated that the man fell almost 30 feet on to a rock ledge. His name and the extent of his injuries weren't available.
Nederland Fire Protection District, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, Boulder County Sheriff's Office, Boulder County Parks and Open Space Rangers and American Medical Response Ambulance responded to the scene.
