Erie police today reported that they have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with a stabbing that occurred in that city Friday afternoon.
Cmdr. K. Stewart said police returned to the scene of a stabbing in the 400 block of Young Court, described as an industrial area, and located Matthew Jensen, 30, in a vehicle and arrested him without incident.
Stewart said Jensen is alleged to have stabbed a 54-year-old male acquaintance in the leg, during a fight. That injury was not life-threatening, and the victim was treated at the scene. Jensen's arrest occurred in the same area where the incident occurred.
Jensen was taken to the Weld County Jail, where he was booked on suspicion of second-degree assault, felony menacing and third-degree assault.
