The construction of hundreds of new apartments will close a key connector between Foothills Parkway and Diagonal Highway for the next four months.
The off-ramp allowing northbound Foothills travelers to access westbound Diagonal will be removed and rebuilt to alter access and improve drainage. The work is expected to last through mid-November.
Detour signs were posted beginning Monday. Vehicles can re-route north to Jay Road and then south on Foothill parkway back to the Diagonal/ off-ramp, which will remain open.
The work is related to the mixed-used Diagonal Crossing development. When completed, Diagonal Crossing will include 357 apartments, a restaurant, café, and nonprofit tenants including Meals on Wheels and Studio Arts.
