Let's get weird: The Fillmore Auditorium announced that MGMT will take over its stage Sept. 9.

The trippy indie pop duo will be out in support of their long-awaited follow-up to 2010's Congratulations. The live show could be a bit different this time around, as Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden have said they recorded without a band and were influenced by Aphex Twin. Rumor had it the album was going to drop this month.

The show at the Fillmore Auditorium is billed with a "special guest" as the opening act. So, so many mysteries. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, for $35.
