The main event this weekend in Boulder is going to be the all-reggae party starring Na'an Stop at the Fox Theatre.

On Saturday night, the Boulder band will make yet another headlining appearance on the Hill's big stage, joined by fellow local reggae group Policulture and Bob Marley tribute band Wake Up and Live.

"Things are good. We're stoked to be coming back to the Fox. We haven't headlined there in, like, six months," frontman David Halvorson said. "Everyone's trying to have a super rad time on Saturday."

That should be pretty easy to do, and if you've seen this band live, you know why. If you haven't, get a taste with their EP, It's All In The Cheese.

And stay tuned for a music video and new record, too. They're releasing a video this spring and plan to get into the studio to start work on a full-length album in May.

"We've got a bunch of original material, and we've had it, and we've been working out kinks and fine tuning for a while now," Halvorson said. "We're hoping to release a 12-song album. I think it'll be sweet because we consider ourselves a really eclectic band. It's a hybrid thing. We're really excited to showcase that sound."

Saturday night's show gets going at 9 p.m. It's not an official Bob Marley birthday party, but it's only two days late, so go ahead and count it. Tickets are only $12-$16 at foxtheatre.com.

Meanwhile, in Denver, The Revivalists are playing the Bluebird Theatre on Saturday night. The "New Orleans based band on the run spreads the love and steals the margarine" (thanks, Twitter bio) does soul rock that falls somewhere between The Black Keys and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Fort Collins' own Musketeer Gripweed is one of the openers, taking that soulful-rock vibe to near-gospel heights.

The show starts at 9 p.m. and tickets are available at bluebirdtheater.net for $15.75-$17.

You can catch some similar sounds in a dirtier little club for a cheaper price, too. The hi-dive is hosting Denver band A. Tom Collins' "European Tour Sendoff" at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. This is soul rock more in the vein of Tom Waits, though, with some punk sharpness.

They'll be joined by fellow Denverites Varlet and Mako1972.

Tickets run $10-$12. Get them at the door or in advance at hi-dive.com.

Or, maybe you want some rock of the more synthy, anthemic variety. The Epilogues are playing the Larimer Lounge on Saturday, along with Night Riots, Flashbulb Fires and A Band In Pictures. That's a killer all-Denver lineup, and tickets are only $10 in advance (at larimerlounge.com) and $12 at the door. The fun kicks off at 9 p.m.
