Hope you've been saving your money, Boulder. Record Store Day is Saturday, and there are a ton of sweet deals right here in town. There's a lot going on in Denver, too, if you're feeling ambitious.

This year, the live music in Boulder will be reduced from last year. After a show at Bart's Music Shack was shut down because of noise complaints last year, Doug Gaddy at Absolute Vinyl decided to keep his festivities to two quieter acts. Bart's won't have any performances, either. Meanwhile, at Albums on the Hill, the usual performance space in occupied by things that were displaced during the September flood.

"I just didn't feel like I could do anyone justice without the space," owner Andy Schneidkraut said.

Nothing is confirmed yet, but he said there could be some last-minute surprises.

Though RSD 2014 will be quiter, there still are some excellent, limited-editions records to pick up, plus some giveaways.
