Drummer Michael Travis says the String Cheese Incident is planning concerts in summer and fall 2010.

Boulder-bred bluegrass powerhouse String Cheese Incident today announced it will play a free show on University Hill at 6 p.m. April 28.

The announcement came via a video from the band that shows keys player Kyle Hollingsworth chasing unsuspecting Boulderites around the Hill with an accordion before he declares, "This is not the same without the band. We gotta do it again with the full band, but right here."

From the looks of the video, the band will be setting up at the intersection of 13th Street and College Avenue. City officials are still working through permits, but communications and special events coordinator Ashley Herring said they expect to announce street closures early next week.

The String Cheese Incident will release its next album -- Song in My Head, the band's first in nine years -- the next day.
