The comedians will play a married couple in the 20th Century Fox comedy "Date Night," reports Variety.
The Shawn Levy-directed comedy based on Josh Klausner's script will center on a couple's routine date night that becomes much more than a mere dinner and a movie. Levy, who is returning to familiar ground with "Night of the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian," thought up the concept of "Date Night."
"I wanted to do a relatable, grounded character comedy about marriage and the lengths we go to preserve the spark," Levy says. "Tina and Steve are smart and relatable, and the tone of their comedy perfectly fits this film."
Production will begin next year during each of the actors hiatus from their sitcoms. Both Fey and Carell are up for Emmys for their work on "30 Rock" and "The Office," respectively, and their shows are going head-to-head in the comedy category.
DEGENERES AND DE ROSSI MARRIED
There was much dancing: Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are married, according to reports.
In the biggest celebrity union since California legalized same-sex marriage, DeGeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35, wed Saturday night in an intimate ceremony at their Beverly Hills home, "People" and "Us Magazine" reported.
A publicist for DeGeneres didn't immediately respond to messages from The Associated Press on Saturday.
After the California Supreme Court's ruling in May, the talk-show host announced that she and de Rossi would wed after four years together.
The ceremony was attended by 19 guests, including DeGeneres's mom Betty and de Rossi's mother Margaret Rogers, who flew in from Australia for the occasion, People.com reported Saturday night.
LETO'S BAND SUED
Hardcore fans of 30 Seconds to Mars aren't the only ones who want more of the band's music. Virgin Records has sued the group for $30 million, saying it has failed to deliver.
Virgin Records sued the band and front man Jared Leto in Los Angeles on Friday, claiming they refused to deliver three albums as required by its contract.
MIKE MYERS JOINS FELLOW 'BASTARDS'
Funnyman Mike Myers will go military for his next project.
"The Love Guru" star has joined the recruits for Quentin Tarantino's WWII ensemble flick "Inglorious Bastards," reports Variety.
In the film, Myers is slated to play British Gen. Ed Fenech, a military mastermind who creates a plot to eliminate the Nazi leaders.
He joins the previously cast Brad Pitt, Eli Roth and B.J. Novak. Simon Pegg, Nastassja Kinski and David Krumholtz are still in talks to co-star.
KUTCHER TO BE A 'FATHER'
Ashton Kutcher will be having daddy issues soon.
The actor/producer will star in and produce the Columbia Pictures comedy "Like Father."
Variety reports that "You Can Count on Me" director Kenneth Longeran will rewrite the project, which follows the rocky relationship between a father and son who both coincidentally have baby sons at the same time and thus must bond over the shared fatherhood experience.

According to documents released Friday, police in Culver City arrested Robinson on June 29 on suspicion of possessing MDMA, also known as ecstasy, and methamphetamine. He was released the same day after posting bail, jail records show.
