A bomb threat caused police to evacuate the Celestial Seasonings plant in Gunbarrel on Tuesday night.
The tea company's complex at 4600 Sleepytime Drive received a threat around 8 p.m., and police were still investigating the incident late Tuesday night. Boulder Police Sgt. David Kicera said the threat likely wasn't credible. He also said the department's bomb squad was not called out.
There were no road closures associated with the threat, and Kicera said police should be done inspecting the building by Wednesday morning.
Initial reports from police dispatchers said witnesses on the scene cited a "race war going on between Hispanics and whites" at the production plant as a possible cause for the threat. Kicera said he couldn't comment on any "race war" but said there didn't "seem to be any validity to that" in relation to the threat.
