Christmas trees — free of ornaments, tinsel and stands — can be recycled at the following places and times:
Boulder offers Christmas tree recycling Friday through Jan. 31 at Western Disposal’s brickyard site, 5880 Butte Mill Road.
Lafayette offers tree recycling in January at the City Service Center, 1700 Avalon St.
Trees can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 2; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 3; 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 5 to Jan. 9 and Jan. 12 to Jan. 15; and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 17.
Boy Scout Troop No. 69 will pick up Christmas trees on Jan. 3 from Lafayette residences and drop them off for you. The troop requests a $10 donation.
To schedule a pick-up, call 303-926-0724 by Jan. 2.
Longmont public works will provide Christmas tree collection through Jan. 5.
Trees can be dropped off at Eco-Cycle, 140 Martin St.; Roosevelt Park, south of Eighth Avenue; Garden Acres sports complex off 18th Avenue; Kanemoto Park, south of Pratt Parkway; and Centennial Park, off of Alpine Street.
Louisville offers Christmas tree recycling at its Branch Recycling Site for city residents. The site, at Empire Road and Colo. 42, will be open Saturday and Sunday and Jan. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 10.
Cub Scouts Pack 82 will pick up Christmas trees on Jan. 10 from Louisville residences and drop them off for you. The troop requests a $5 donation for trees under 7 feet and $10 for trees over 7 feet.

The Erie Parks Department’s annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program starts Friday. Residents can drop off trees at Coal Creek Park, located at the intersection of Cheesman and Wells streets in downtown Erie. The designated drop-off area is in the north parking lot.
Trees will be accepted through Jan. 14. The town will mulch the trees and leave the mulch on-site until Feb. 5 for the public to take free of charge.
Superior offers tree recycling Saturday through Jan. 31 at the Yard Waste Recycling Facility, located on Honeycreek Lane next to the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The site is open from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays; and 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
Broomfield offers Christmas tree recycling through Jan. 19.
Drop-off locations are Bronco Park at Westlake Drive and Grove Circle; Broadlands Park West at Sheridan Boulevard and Meadow Mountain Drive; Lac Amora Park at Miramonte Boulevard and Oak Circle North; Community Park Ball Fields at Community Park Drive and Lamar Street; Recycle Center at Industrial Lane and Commerce Street; Meridian Park at McKay Circle and Park Cove Way; and Anthem at Broomfield at 160th Avenue and Lowell Boulevard.
Mulch will be available Feb. 1 at Bronco Park and the Recycle Center.
