"Jimmy and Sarah have no further comment," Kimmel's spokesman Lewis Kay told The Associated Press, confirming the split that was first reported on Vanity Fair magazine's Web site.
Silverman's publicist, Amy Zvi, confirmed the breakup in an e-mail message to the AP. Zvi didn't immediately respond when asked for further details.
The pair dated for five years, and were one of Hollywood's funniest -- and seemingly solid -- couples.
RECORD LABEL AUCTIONED
Death Row Records, the hip-hop label that released seminal gangster rap albums by Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, has been auctioned for $24 million.
The New York-based Global Music Group Inc. said in a statement to The Associated Press on Monday that on June 24 it purchased Death Row, including its enviable back catalog and current artist contracts.
The purchase concluded the roller-coaster saga of one of hip-hop's most famous labels. Under owner Marion "Suge" Knight, Death Row sold tens of millions of albums in the heyday of early '90s rap -- its artists often flashing the spoils of the high life in music videos -- before collapsing in debt and mismanagement.
COOK SAYS SORRY
Christie Brinkley's ex-husband Peter Cook says he's sorry he got involved with the 18-year-old who helped wreck their marriage.
The couple were married for a decade before the 49-year-old Cook met Diana Bianchi and began a sexual relationship with her.
Bianchi says Cook showed interest in her and she reciprocated until their relationship ended in late 2005.
Cook told the Fox News Channel on Sunday if he had the chance to do it again he'd say: "No, I'm a married man."
Brinkley and Cook's divorce trial ended Thursday following a week of testimony about Cook's affair and online porn habit. Brinkley got custody of their two children and properties. Cook got $2.1 million.
Cook says he's satisfied with the agreement.
FILMMAKERS MUST FOLLOW RULES IN NYC
Filmmakers and photographers who shoot on New York City's streets and sidewalks now have a clear set of rules dictating when they must obtain permits, after years of relying on loose guidelines that civil liberties advocates said were too vague.
The rules, which were to appear Monday in the City Record, now state clearly that productions must have permits and at least $1 million in insurance if they plan to take over a lane of traffic or leave less than eight feet of open space on a sidewalk.
Permits and insurance also are required for shoots that involve vehicles or use equipment other than hand-held devices or cameras on tripods -- items like props, sets, lights, dolly tracks, screens and microphone devices.
ABC PRAISED BY GLAAD
The marriage between the gay characters Kevin and Scotty in the season finale of ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" helped the network win the highest praise Sunday from an advocacy group that pushes for more visibility of such characters on television.
It was the first wedding of two gay or lesbian characters in a prime-time scripted series, said the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. ABC has had other historic moments, including introducing a gay character to "Soap" in 1977, having a gay teen in "My So-Called Life" and Ellen DeGeneres coming out on "Ellen" as well as in real life.

Legalization of gay marriage in California is a good news for GLBT. One of my friends, who found her another part on the online community BiLoves, decided to get married recently. Hope they have a great marriage life.
