T he concert business can occasionally throw you a curveball. Right after the Daily scored an interview with top new British singer Adele (and right after she appeared on the David Letterman show), her Saturday concert in Boulder was postponed. No worries, there are still plenty of great events to catch in town this week.

One of the key acts to catch in Boulder this week is Dilated Peoples. The famed hip hop act hits the Fox Theatre Monday with a whole posse of friends. Joining the rap trio will be The Alchemist, Aceyalone, and 88 Keys. To keep the party open to everyone in Boulder, this will be an all-ages show.

The Los Angeles-based Dilated Peoples have been developing an underground hip-hop scene since the 90s, and the act's created hit records in both the U.S. and the U.K. The hip hop group is best known for its collaboration with Kanye West called "This Way." The tune was a Top 40 hit in the U.S. and England.

Dilated Peoples is also known for working with other noted hip hop acts that include The Alkaholiks, The Alchemist, Aceyalone, and The Visionaries. The outfit features well-known rap masters Evidence and Rakaa Iriscience, as well as DJ Babu. That's not all --Dilated Peoples have also done production work for the Beastie Boys and Linkin Park.

"Everyone who knows this group, knows that we're all about the underground scene," says Evidence. "We feed off each other and we have this loyal fan base. This is what we love to do. First and foremost, we put it down. We're not a cookie-cutter act -- we've always remained true to what we do. This is a brand you can trust. We like to keep doing this and keeping it fresh for the people."

Dilated Peoples are currently touring with their new DVD. The hip-hop outfit is also working on a new CD that will be out in 2009. That's not all
