LARAMIE, Wyo. -- University of Colorado junior Jeremy Dodson finished first in both the men's 100 and 200-meter dashes at the Front Range Classic in Laramie, Wyo. on Saturday afternoon.
Dodson, a junior, recorded a personal best 10.32 in the 100-meter dash, which should move him up on the regional qualifying list. He picked up a season best 20.73 in the 200.
CU senior Ryan Campbell earned a regional qualifying time and placed third in the 200 with a time of 21.11, his best of the season.
Freshmen Toi Windham and her twin sister, Joi, placed first and second, respectively, in the women's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 61.24 (Toi) and 62.97 (Joi).
Senior Chelsea Haverty took third in the 200 (25.30) and was seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (14.89). Junior Veronica Maul also took a third-place finish in the 400 (57.90).
In the field events, senior James Begley recorded three top five finishes. His best finish was in the men's shot put where he placed second overall. Begley recorded a throw of 51-09.00. He took third in the discus (173-10) and fifth in the hammer throw (183-07).
Sophomore Kevin Fasing took second in the men's javelin. He notched a throw of 190-11. On the women's side, freshman Alyssa Higby placed fourth with a toss of 116-09.
