Democrats Joe Neguse and Curt Williams are running to represent the 2nd Congressional District (CD) on the Board. The 2nd CD includes most of Boulder County and parts or all of nine other counties, basically stretching from western Adams County to Eagle County, east to west.
The 2nd CD Assembly will be held Saturday, May 10. Candidates must earn at least 30 percent of the delegate vote to automatically qualify for the Aug. 12 primary election ballot, and it is possible that both Neguse and Williams could qualify.
The winner of the Nov. 4 general election will replace the sitting regent from the 2nd CD, Cindy Carlisle Contact Richard Valenty about this story at (303) 443-6272 ext. 126, or at valenty@coloradodaily.com.
