Letters to the Editor: Don't support Udall

Wednesday, October 1, 2008

If you touch a boiling pot of water, you may burn your finger -- but if you plunge your hand into that bubbling water, you will scald yourself.

If voters choose Mark Udall as their next U.S. senator, that will create two "open borders/pro-illegal-alien senators" in Ken Salazar and Udall.

For 10 years, Udall lifted not one finger to stop the Mexican migrant invasion of our state. He failed to join Tom Tancredo's Immigration Reform Caucus. He submitted more bills to aid, abet and assist illegal aliens than anyone can imagine. He did everything he could to harm the citizens of Colorado while he did everything possible to aid illegal aliens.

If he becomes our U.S. senator, he will vote for giving amnesty to 20-30 million illegal aliens at a horrendous cost to Colorado taxpayers. Like Salazar, who voted last year to give amnesty and double legal immigration from 1.2 million annually to 2.4 million, Udall would vote for the same massive "Immigration Katrina" to flood this state into horrific consequences, i.e., water shortages, energy, crowding and loss of quality of life.

Whomever you vote for, I suggest you vote for the man or woman who will defend your rights as a Colorado citizen instead of a man proven to support and vote for illegal aliens for the past 10 years.

LISTEN UP

Please consult with Joseph Stiglitz, Dean Baker, Robert Johnson, James K. Galbraith, Robert Reich, Paul Krugman and other top economists to come up with intelligent plans for addressing the financial crisis.

My husband, an economist, has been listening to these economists' predictions and forecasts for years telling those willing to listen that a housing bubble and financial crisis was coming.

Please consult with them on how our economy can be regulated in a way that would work to benefit the American people.

FEEL OUR PAIN

As McCain said to Obama in the debate: "PUHLEEZ"!!

The American people are finally using their voices and power.

As Obama says: "ENOUGH!!!"

Shame on all of you -- start feeling what we of the middle class have been dealing with for at least the last eight years.

WHY BAIL THEM OUT?

Why is Washington considering doling out even one penny to those who were running these failed businesses?

It is an outrage as are the pictures on television of those involved in this bailout shown with big smiles on their faces!

I am a waitress and a student. There are no rewards if my job isn't done in a satisfactory manner. Nor will anyone be standing by to help me with my bills.

The Democrats who are in office right now must ask themselves what they have done to cause this mess or in turn what sins of omission have they committed in failing to curb these terrible excesses?
