A 19-year-old man, who police say was tripping on two hits of acid, injured his face after making a sudden dive off a wall into Boulder Creek late last week.

The man, whose name was not released by police pending completion of their investigation, has a listed address in Henderson.

Boulder police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley said the man and a couple of his friends were heading towards downtown Boulder on foot from somewhere near the University of Colorado campus Friday night.

She said they had all consumed LSD.

Around 9 p.m., Huntley said the man suddenly got up on a ledge lining the creek near the underpass at Arapahoe Avenue and Broadway and dove headfirst into a rocky section of the waterway.

She said an independent witness confirmed the incident.

The teen suffered non-life threatening facial injuries and was transported to the hospital, Huntley said.

She said police are still looking into whether to make an arrest on drug-related charges.

I witnessed some of this ...
I'd like to add, the kid was screaming incoherent phrases while it took 4-6 cops to arrest him. Also, he was completely naked from the waste down.
