The University of Colorado's club hockey team fell 3-2 to Wagner College on Saturday in the team's first game back after the winter break.
An early flurry in the first period by the Seahawks (23-2-0) -- including a goal 16 seconds into the game -- gave the Southeast region's leader a healthy lead.
The Buffs (13-10-1) scored a goal back in the second, as sophomore Conor Williams scored almost immediately after returning to play from the penalty box. CU would tie the game up through a power-play goal by senior Kevin Alpert in the third period, but Wagner stretched back into the lead with just over 6 minutes left in the game.
CU's next game is against Denver on Friday.
