Events are scheduled throughout the summer at Boulder Public Library in relation to this year's "One Book, One Boulder" reading, "Chief Left Hand," by local author Margaret Coel.

The book was chosen as part of a larger initiative called "One Action-One Boulder," which is helping illuminate the legacy of Chief Niwot, whose name translates into Chief Left Hand in English. The initiative includes an exhibit at the Boulder History Museum, about Chief Niwot's legacy.

The library is hosting a series of discussions about "Chief Left Hand" beginning Monday, and Coel will speak about her book at 7 p.m. July 31 at the Canyon Theater in the main branch of the library, 1001 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder.

The book discussion times are 7 p.m. Monday at the Carnegie Branch Library, 1125 Pine St.; 7 p.m. June 28 at Pulse Point in the main library, 1001 Arapahoe Ave.; 7 p.m. July 11 at the Meadows Branch Library, 4800 Baseline Rd.; 7 p.m. July 19 at the Reynolds Branch Library, 3595 Table Mesa Dr.; and 4 p.m. July 22 again at Pulse Point in the main library.
