While officials have completed an initial round of listening sessions, people still have through Monday, May 20, to submit comments and suggestions about what they’d like to see in a regional trails network that connects western Boulder County’s mountain and foothills communities.
Local, state and federal land management agencies are working on a joint planning effort for possible future links to existing trails systems on publicly owned lands in that area, as well as to identify possible connections to regional trails in Boulder County’s plains.
For more information about the planning effort, and to submit comments online through Monday, visit www.regionalmountaintrails.com.
Boulder County is collaborating with the U.S. Forest Service, the National Park Service, Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the cities of Longmont and Boulder on the project.
