Boulder, man.

Fools are painting rocks and hiding them.

(Made it in the Daily, kids! Cut this out for mom's fridge. She'll be at my place tonight so you can surprise her with the news in the morning.)

Let's go to Denver this weekend.

Now for those of you who don't like drinking on a crawl, we need to talk.

But later.

Saturday at 8 a.m., get on your bike and hit up the Denver Coffee Crawl, beginning at Purple Door Coffee, 2962 Welton St., Denver.

The buzz is on a mission to check out Denver's newer coffee spots.

The crawl includes a 21-mile cruise that finishes downtown at Novo, 1600 Glenarm, Denver, with stops at Boxcar, Black Black Coffee, Steam, Little Owl in between and wraps around noon.

This is a chance to taste different roasters, check out the nouveau fancy spots and look all Boulder-y with your Denver pals. I would join, but my bike tires are flat, it's way too early and I like my $1.59 burnt Folgers from 7-Eleven.

Learn what great coffee really tastes like.

Thriftin'

Another booze-free crawl! What in the bars is going on, Denver?

Denver's Consignment Crawl begins at noon -- right after achieving your massive bean buzz from shotgunning coffee all morning.

The crawl starts at Stapleton's Plum Consignment, 2373 Central Park Blvd., Denver, and creeps all over the metro area to 22 participating locations. Saturday is International Resale Day (but we knew that) and the various locations will offer refreshments, raffles, promotions and giveaways.

Pop culture Peanuts

Aw, Snoopy. With that big ol' nose atop his doghouse watching the stars and scratching his back. The life.

Peanuts creator and cartoonist Charles Schulz granted artist Tom Everhart the sole permission to use the Peanuts characters in his paintings (way back when). So, Everhart took the likes of Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Pig-Pen, Woodstock, Linus, Peppermint Patty and gang and turned them into pop culture art pieces bursting with color.

Tom Everhart: Works from 2000-2013 exhibit reached Denver Thursday and his works are on view and for sale at Fascination Fine Art, 2727 E. 3rd Ave., Denver, through Aug. 19. The opening reception, with appearances from Everhart is July 19 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday, July 20 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

Balls!

Colorado loves its soccer.

At Sports Authority Field at Mile High, 1701 Bryant St, Denver, Sunday, Martinique takes on Mexico and Panama vs. Canada Sunday at 3 p.m. in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

I don't know what that means. I like American ftbol.

Help, Google.

It's the 12-nation championship for North and Central Americas and the Caribbeans who like to kick balls around. It can serve as a qualifier for the World Cup. But you probably already knew that. Go watch hot dudes play soccer.

Laugh your ass off

I haven't made it to the Voodoo Comedy Playhouse, 1260 22nd St., Denver, yet, but I have watched it change clothes from the shadows across the intersection from the Whiskey Bar's smoking patio. (That's just weird.)

Saturday at 8 p.m., the Playhouse is hosing The Comedy Masquerade, a night of standup with comedians, improv and tunes from the comedy band Ultra Sex Laser. This monthly LMAO Standup Comedy Showcase (every second Saturday) is different this week, asking audience members to wear masquerade masks. The most creative mask wins some neat stuff.
