Denver commercial real estate firm NAI Shames Makovsky paid $10 million for the Best Western Golden Buff Lodge in Boulder, county property records show.

Bison Holdings I LLC, an entity registered to NAI Shames Makovsky's general counsel, acquired the property at 1725 28th St. from Golden Buff Motel Inc. for $10 million, according to a warranty deed recorded on Tuesday with Boulder County.

Clint Folsom, a broker with Boulder-based Folsom & Company Real Estate who represented Golden Buff Motel in the transaction, confirmed the sale price but deferred further comment to NAI Shames Makovsky.

NAI Shames Makovsky on Friday acquired both the property and the development rights to build two hotels on the site. The Boulder Planning Board approved plans for the construction of two hotels and a nearly 40,000-square-foot commercial building on the site that sits on the northwest corner of 28th Street and Canyon Boulevard.
