A 19-year-old man has been formally charged by the Denver district attorney in connection to a string of bicycle thefts.
Drake Durbin was charged with 16 counts of second-degree burglary, a felony, on Wednesday, according to a news release from the district attorney's office.
Durbin was allegedly involved in a series of downtown Denver bicycle burglaries between Dec. 1 and Jan. 31.
The bikes were stolen from apartment buildings where, in many cases, the bike locks were cut and two suspects rode them out of the building, according to the release.
The second suspect remains at large.
Durbin remains in Denver jail on a $3,500 bond.
He will appear in court Friday for his second advisement.
