Big wheel keeps on rolling down busy Philly road

Philadelphia police say they're looking into cellphone video reports of a man riding a big-wheeled tricycle down one of the city's busiest boulevards.

Motorists tell WCAU-TV they saw the man pedaling down the middle of Roosevelt Boulevard on Sunday.

Motorists including Akeem Edwards tell the station the tricycle was holding up traffic as cars gingerly drove around the pedaling man.

Edwards says the man riding the tricycle "looked at me and smiled as he was rolling by."

Police are trying to figure out who the man is, what he was up to and whether he might be cited for the incident.

Man charged with growing pot plants at cemetery

RUTLAND, Vt. — A 23-year-old man has been charged with growing more than 40 marijuana plants in a Vermont cemetery.

The Rutland Herald reports that Adam Mahoney pleaded not guilty Monday in Rutland to a felony marijuana cultivation charge.

Authorities say Rutland County deputies found five grow sites while patrolling the Chippenhook Cemetery in Clarendon in August. Deputy Jessica Ryan-LeBlanc says she found the first site before spotting Mahoney in the woods near the cemetery. He allegedly fled when she told him to stop.

Authorities say Mahoney was later located and a search of his vehicle found items including fish fertilizer, an open box of Miracle-Gro, containers filled with water and animal repellant spray.
